St Kilda Indigenous Nursery Co-operative (SKINC) grows and sells local native plants from the sandbelt area of Melbourne (south of the Yarra to Frankston). We propagate a wide range of coastal, heathland, woodland and grassland species. Most of the plants are drought tolerant and low maintenance. SKINC offers a variety of services: environmental consulting, seed collecting, contract growing, garden advice and landscape design, landscaping, and garden maintenance. SKINC is a not-for-profit co-operative, owned and run by its members. If you would like to find out more about co-operatives click here |

We also sell a wide range of drought tolerant non-local native plants many of which are fabulous examples of Australian flora. Charles Saffroy is present most Fridays and Saturdays, to give advice on plants suitable for a range of gardens and balconies.
SKINC would like to thank the City of Port Phillip for their ongoing support and assistance. Special thanks for enabling us to get this website up through a community grant. Skinc would also like to thank the Port Phillip Eco-centre and the Friends of Westgate Park for their ongoing support. SKINC ACKNOWLEDGES THAT IT IS ON THE TRADITIONAL LAND OF THE BUNURONG PEOPLE
